In 2000, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Science and Technology acknowledged Tsinghua Science Park as the one of the first national university science parks in China.

Tsinghua Science Park was awarded “The Best Practice of Science Incubator 2002” by the Netherlands Science Federation for its sustainable and pioneering business concept, attesting to Tsinghua Science Park’s international success and recognition. In 2003, Tsinghua Science Park became the first Chinese science park member of the International Science and Technology Association.

In 2003, Tsinghua Science Park (Kunshan) Co., Ltd. was set up.
